F(r)iction At KONA

F(r)iction at KONA was an immersive walk-through exhibition exploring the complex intersections of technology, art, and nature. The exhibition invited visitors to engage with site-specific installations, videos, multimedia pieces, and murals created by national and international artists, offering diverse perspectives on the evolving dynamics of a digitally driven world. Held at KONA in Jor Bagh Market, the exhibition ran from 16th February to mid-March 2019and transformed the venue into a universe of frictions and fictions.
The project emphasised how technology reshapes interactions with our surroundings, redefines art, and broadens access to creativity. It invited reflection on how digital advancements both democratize art and dilute its purpose. The showcased works responded to these dichotomies through deeply personal and universally resonant themes.
