இனிது (Happy/Sweet)

‘இனிது’ which translates to happy/sweet, is an ode to the spirited folks of Kannagi Nagar, who stood unyielding through the rogue waves. Its central character – the seemingly blessed-out old man- symbolises the determination and perseverance of Kannagi’s residents and celebrates their ability to keep marching ahead towards a better tomorrow with infectious warmth and positivity, without letting the past bog them down.

Additionally, the Crew has used a base of flowers to frame the piece, reminding us of the beauty and fragility of life, as flowers continue to be symbols of hope, freshness and happiness. Reflectively, the ones included in the backdrop are also the ones most commonly sold in Chennai, including Malli (jasmine), Saamandhi (chrysanthemum) and roses.
