Hope in Monochrome

Mexican artist Paola Delfin uses her signature monochromatic technique to narrate the lives of Nochikuppam's community. Her mural features tender portraits of residents, including a retired catamaran builder, grandmothers, mothers, and playful children. Delfin highlights the vitality and strength of her subjects while portraying the past, present, and future of the neighbourhood. Through scenes of kite flying and daily routines, the mural celebrates the human essence and underscores the importance of community bonds. It pays homage to stories often forgotten while embracing the promise of what is yet to come.
