Indian artist A-Kill delves into the intricate dynamics of life by the sea, focusing on the interconnected processes of fishing and fish selling. The mural showcases fishermen mending nets that transform into a chattai (woven carpet), where women sit while selling fish. The imagery serves as a metaphor for the community's reliance on the sea and each other. The artwork also emphasises hands as symbols of labour, resilience, and the collective spirit of the community. By highlighting everyday scenes like local street games in the evenings, A-Kill brings out the essence of communal living amidst challenges.
