Roots and Rhythm
by Pascal Mario Kmenlang Pathhaw
Roots and Rhythm" captures Meghalaya’s natural landscape and tribal heritage. Pathaw’s mural depicts elements like the living root bridge, Rainbow Falls, and regional flora and fauna, symbolising the connection between people and nature. The artwork also highlights the cultural expressions of the Garo, Khasi, and Jaintia tribes through traditional dances and local legends. This mural is a visual narrative of Meghalaya’s identity, portraying nature and culture as two sides of the same story.
