Inside the station, Appupen used his signature comic style to narrate the evolution of Bengaluru. His panels trace the area’s transformation from the days of Dharmambudhi Lake—once a thriving waterbody in the city centre—to Majestic’s rise as a cultural and commercial hub, complete with theatres, circuses, and the sprawling bus station. Appupen’s work captures a layered history, blending past, present, and future.
