Untitled: Daku

As part of the Donate a Wall project in Chennai, Mexican artist Senkoe created two murals that celebrate Tamil Nadu’s biodiversity and cultural heritage. These vibrant murals, painted on the walls of a TN government school, merge elements of nature with traditional motifs, creating a visual symphony of interconnectedness and sustainability.

The first mural depicts a colourful deer adorned with intricate patterns and floral designs, embodying the harmony between nature and culture. The deer’s antlers transform into a tree, symbolising growth and life, while butterflies and birds flutter around, representing Tamil Nadu’s diverse fauna. This artwork captures the essence of coexistence and the beauty of biodiversity.

The second mural features a kaleidoscopic hummingbird surrounded by flora and fauna. Framed by symmetrical patterns and vivid hues, the piece reflects balance and the interconnectedness of ecosystems. It celebrates the resilience and vibrancy of nature, inviting the viewer to consider the importance of environmental stewardship.
