Untitled: Lady Aiko

Japanese - born street artist LADY AIKO is recognised as one of the most important emerging street artists in the world and also as the founding member of New York's FAILE collective and for her collaborative work with Banksy. Her style is an eclectic and voracious mashup of Japanese and American pop culture.

Lady Aiko created her biggest mural ever during St+art Delhi 2015 with the help of 15 volunteers, using 299 paper stencils and a palette of bright colours. She chose to paint Rani Laxmi Bai as a symbol of women's empowerment for the country.

Lady Aiko's participation in the St+art Delhi festival was supported by The Japan Foundation, New Delhi.
